Great Ideas Are Just Ideas That Didn’t Get Killed Off!
Have you ever wondered how some ideas seem to change the world, while others just doesn’t even matter? It’s not always about how good the idea was it’s about whether it survived long enough to matter…
I don’t even how many ideas I have brushed off, because I found them too simple or It’s probably been done before. Or the classic, What if it doesn’t work?
The truth is, most ideas don’t fail because they’re bad. They fail because we don’t give them a chance to live.
We’re so quick to doubt, so fast to overthink, that we dump ideas before they even have a shot. And ironically, the world’s most impactful ideas? They weren’t born perfect. They were messy, flawed, and even ridiculous at first.
Take the lightbulb, for example. It wasn’t a single stroke of genius. It was an idea that survived thousands of failed experiments. Or the iPhone it wasn’t revolutionary because it was perfect, it was revolutionary because it dared to exist, even with its initial flaws.
The people behind these ideas weren’t necessarily smarter than the rest of us. They were just stubborn. They didn’t let their doubts, or other people’s opinions, kill off their ideas too soon.
So here’s a question for you, how many of your own ideas have you killed before they even had a chance? How many times have you said no to yourself before anyone else even got to say yes?
The thing about ideas is that they don’t need to be perfect right away. They just need time. Time to grow, time to adapt, and most importantly, time to prove themselves.
So maybe the next time you have a wild idea , a silly one, an impossible one, or one that seems too small, don’t rush to kill it. Let it breathe. Write it down. Think about it. Talk about it.
Because in the end, great ideas aren’t always the smartest or the flashiest. They’re the ones that stick around. The ones that survive.
And maybe, just maybe, your next great idea is waiting for you to stop overthinking and let it live!
