The Nap That Wasn’t Supposed to Happen...
It started innocently. I was working on something, felt a little tired, and thought,
Let me just lie down for five minutes.
Rookie mistake.
Next thing I know, I wake up completely disoriented, confused whether it’s morning or night, and, worst of all, with a truckload of guilt.
Because now, not only is my schedule messed up, but my brain is doing that annoying thing where it reminds me of everything I should have done instead of sleeping.
Why This Happens
The Just 5 Minutes Lie – We think We have control, but we don’t! Our body decides it.
Our Brain Betrays Us – One moment we’re blinking slowly, and the next moment we sleep.
The Aftermath is Worse – We wake up feeling like we failed at life.
The Regret Phase
After waking up, my first instinct is to check my phone. And of course, I see:
5 missed calls
10 unread messages
A text that says Bhai, kaha mar gaya?, All well?, Hello??
A reminder that my assignment was due.
I stare at it blankly and whisper hua kya abhi? and immediately question my life choices.
Conclusion
Falling asleep when you least expect it is one of life’s cruelest jokes. You think you’re in control, but sleep doesn’t ask for permission, it just hijacks your existence.
So tell me, what’s the worst accidental nap you’ve ever taken? The kind that left you feeling more lost than refreshed? Reply and let’s suffer together.
